Jamaican reggae music icon Neville O’Reilly Livingston, known as Bunny Wailer, formerly of the Wailer’s Band, is finally to be buried on June 18 at his Dreamland farmhouse.

The information was shared by his son Asadenaki Livingston.

“It will be a private funeral for family members. Due to the restrictions of Covid -19, members of the public can still see the debates on the Facebook and IG platforms of “theofficialbunnywailer”, “Asadenaki revealed.

Bunny Wailer died at the age of 73 from a stroke.

His funeral had been delayed due to internal feuds over his real estate division and the huge amount of pending hospital bills.

His family, however, ruled out that the quarrels between them were a reason for the icon’s delayed internment.

A tribute had already been paid to leading artists Chronixx, Popcaan and Asadenaki who follow in his father’s footsteps by honoring the fallen reggae legend.

The Jamaican government recognized his contribution to the reggae genre and awarded him the “Order of Merit” in 2017 and the “Reggae Gold Award” in 2019.
